I am Joy! Nice to meet you here!
I’m Joy — a mama-to-be, part designer, part furniture nerd, and a full-time lover of cosy spaces. Sometimes, I’m also an illustrator.
I know how long and tiring the usual design process can be. That’s why my “mini” approach keeps things simple — with clear steps, fewer decisions, and a quicker turnaround, so it feels fun and stress-free.
I work as a freelancer, and I’m incredibly grateful for the clients and friends who trust me with their spaces and continue to give me opportunities to create.
I Believe in
Everyone deserves a beautiful space
I believe a beautiful home doesn’t need a big budget—mixing designer pieces with affordable finds can create a stylish, comfortable space that feels truly yours.
Small spaces have big potential
With clever layouts, smart furniture choices, and thoughtful design, even the tiniest rooms can be full of charm.
Nature belongs indoors, colour influences mood

The backstory
My design journey as an interior designer started with a deep love for Japanese philosophy—simple, intentional, and beautifully calm—especially while working on Japanese restaurants and learning how thoughtful details can shape a whole atmosphere.
Later, I worked in a designer furniture shop, where I dove into the world of craftsmanship, materials, and the magic of choosing the right piece for each client. That’s also where I fell in love with designers like Alvar Aalto and Aino—so much that I even named my daughter Aino (yes, that’s how serious the love is!).
